Skating Rinks are available with the Seasons expansion pack. You find them randomly spawning in certain worlds. You can also find them in build/buy for around $5000 and turn them into indoor skating rinks.
To create a functional roller skating rink create it using a generic venue lot type, bar venue lot type, or nightclub venue lot type. Using generic lots will make it so only your Sim and invited Sims show up. The other types will allow for a variety of Sims to appear and have fun.
Now you can click on the indoor rink to start skating. You can skate around to start out. You can also invite others to skate with you by clicking on other Sims that are around.
Participate in Skating Events (Optional)
Check for Events: Some mods or game packs might include special skating events or challenges. Keep an eye out for any announcements or opportunities to participate in these events for rewards and social interactions.
Tips for a Better Roller Skating Experience
Customize Your Rink: If you’re building your own rink, adding decorations, lights, and a music system can enhance the atmosphere and make skating more enjoyable for your Sims.
Monitor Needs: Ensure your Sims’ basic needs are met before taking them skating for a prolonged period to avoid negative moodlets that could affect their experience.
Capture the Moment: Don’t forget to take screenshots or use the in-game camera to capture your Sims’ skating moments for memories or to share with the community.
